Overview
Êkèkê Menè-vêhî was founded durring the early 14th century in spring of the year 1304, by Dho. The establishment of Êkèkê Menè-vêhî was only bairly constructed. The sheer number of problems with its founding were enough to make several of the backers funding Êkèkê Menè-vêhî's construction back out of the project. Dho pushed on reguardles, and Êkèkê Menè-vêhî was finished, but starts off as a terible place to live.
Êkèkê Menè-vêhî was built using the conventions of Iron Elf durring the early 14th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Êkèkê Menè-vêhî is no diffrent. The city's buildings feature timber and earth construction, with most buildigns first floors resembling mounds of earth, with subsequent floors appearing as elaborate log cabins, with each building forming a tiered pyramid of sorts fromed from the stack of rectangular, peek roofed cabins. Most wooden bracing, support, and trim is carved with decorative knotwork, and the larger structures even feature painted trim which emphasises the knotwork.
Êkèkê Menè-vêhî is buildings folow an organic layout of crampt flagstone streets whihch gives the city a shape simmilar to a tree, if one views its streets from above. The city is the proud owner of a proper castle-style stone wall complete with all of the trimmings. It has towers, a moat, gatehouses, drawbridges, and even merticulationsshortsizeleadershipname.. Astonishigly, the perhapse unnessisarily well built defences are in pristine condishion, as if they had just been finished before you laied eyes upon them.
A look around Êkèkê Menè-vêhî has something terribly wrong with it. It’s impossible to put one’s finger on, but something is horribly wrong. Maybe it’s the way fog blankets the ground, but only in the connors of places. Maybe it’s the vermin scuttling between shadows in the corner of your eyes. Perhaps it’s the overcast sky which seemed to creep out of nowhere, or the distant howling of wolves. Maybe it’s all of those things together, or perhaps it's the way these elements combine which makes you worry someone might stab you in a dark ally for your boots. It’s not filthy, or dark, but the smiles seem strained, the locals seem to glare daggers in eachothers backs a little too much, and everyone is armed at all times. You may want to keep an eye on your valuables, and make sure you don’t wind up in any position of power. Regardless, you do not feel it would be wise to remain in Êkèkê Menè-vêhî long.

Cultural Notes
Religious leaders are influential in almost any community, but in Êkèkê Menè-vêhî they make up the final authorities. It may be an explicit theocracy, with rule by the clerics of a particular faith, or a temple might be so important and powerful that the official leaders are helpless to resist its will. The locals can be expected to be loyal adherents to the faith, or else the less pious majority is deeply intimidated by the religion’s believers.
Êkèkê Menè-vêhî's town hall was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used embraces individualism and experimentation. It emerged as a movement against traditional, classical styles and sought to make buildings dynamic and fun while breaking the rules. The style incorporated elements of previous architectural styles in exaggerated and whimsical ways. Traditional, conservative leanings were void in this era, with most scholars of architecture agreeing it was a time of “anything goes.”.
